As of March 1, 2008, the Halton Doula Group's fees are $900 for a birth. The average family may receive 24 hours or more of their doula's time and efforts.

The fee for hiring a doula from the Halton Doula Group covers the following:

• 2-3 prenatal visits
• Assistance writing a birth preferences plan
• Education surrounding normal birth and breastfeeding
• Ongoing, continuous support throughout the entire labour and birth process for both you and the mother and family
• Early labour support in your home
• Continuing support in the hospital
• Guidance in comforting and supporting your loved one with massage, relaxation, hydrotherapy, and other comfort measures
• Information and encouragement throughout the process
• Mom, baby and family support for 2-3 hours after your baby's birth
• Breastfeeding support immediately and in the weeks following your baby's birth
• Oncall 24/7 telephone and email support to answer any questions you or your partner may have about
• A birth story or birth day journal for your baby
